Miles walked this month: 141
I used to think the day didn’t really begin until I got to my desk at work – how foolish I was! Having thrown myself into my first #walk1000miles campaign (430 miles so far) I’ve been cramming walks into as many nooks and crannies of time as possible, and I’ve been rewarded with two incredible sightings. One is a white stag I’ve become familiar with on pre-breakfast walks with my dogs Ruby and Lola. He looks so magnificent surrounded by his harem of comparatively dowdy does. The other – an unbelievably lucky spot on a very early walk in the country park near work. Two otters, going about their business a few feet from a heron. So lucky my talented chum Gail Parker managed to get this shot!
Note to self: Brilliant walks don’t always lie patiently in waiting for the weekends you’ve alotted them. Go out and find them girl!
It seemed more important to get the otters in than the heron!
