I’m always intrigued to find significan­t landscape features that, in the three millennia of humans naming stuff, haven’t been named. The recentlyna­med tarn on page 9 is an example, as is this beach just west of Prawle Point, near Gammon Head. Secluded cove, winding path, beach the bronze of California­n skin; no name. Baffling.
