Love it? Put a ring on it

Thank you for doing an article on ‘my’ walk – Chanctonbury Ring. I’ve done this walk many, many times through all the different weathers and seasons and it never fails to leave me as if I had been on a week’s holiday. Not the most strenuous of walks but the gentle undulating hills of the South Downs gives your brain a rest from the outside world. I actually approach from the opposite direction (from the east) and my starting point is Lancing Ring. I then go around or over Steepdown and then make the decision as to whether I want to walk to Cissbury Ring (turn left) or go straight on to Chanctonbury or do the both together. Lots of variations according to weather or how energetic I feel. I love to watch how the scenery changes when the fields are ploughed or when the crops are growing and then you have fields of sheep and cows. What could be better. (Sigh!) Thank you again.
