FROM ITS FIRST, revolutionary framed backpacks in 1960, through to its iconic Kånken and today’s fabric innovations, all Fjällräven backpacks share one overriding characteristic: they’re designed to last a very long time. Extreme comfort and functionality yes, but it’s their timeless appearance and rugged, long-lasting design that really makes them stand out.

Many of the packs are made from different versions of its signature G-1000 material – a highly durable and adaptable fabric that’s part of what makes a Fjällräven pack so longlasting. A tightly woven blend of polyester and cotton impregnated with Greenland Wax, G-1000 is super strong, very lightweight and can be adapted for wetter weather by applying extra Greenland Wax when needed. It also has the rare quality of only looking better as it ages.

Whether you’re hiking up Helvellyn or enjoying a relaxing amble, Fjällräven’s extensive range includes the perfect model for your next adventure. Here are some of our favourites.
