PURBECK ICE CREAM
Purbeck Ice cream is determined to find sources as close to home as possible – right in the heart of Dorset. Using fresh Purbeck milk, thick Dorset cream, British sugar and an abundance of only the best natural ingredients; with no artificial additives, added colours or nuts, it’s also gluten-free and suitable for vegetarians, everything is made on the farm overlooking Corfe Castle by a small and friendly team with fun, love and passion.
28 years ago, Peter and Hazel Hartle and their three small sons were farming 120 acres, running 60 head of Friesian cows, when the government imposed milk quotas – rendering the dairy farm unviable. If they were to stay on the farm, a plan was needed, and making ice cream to use up surplus milk and cream fitted the bill perfectly!
The products and team continue to scoop awards in recognition of quality and excellence, brand image and innovation, leaving a lasting impression of provenance, quality and good taste.
Dedicated to our environment, Purbeck Ice cream takes every care to maintain the beautiful countryside around us, encouraging our suppliers to match our eco-friendly ethos. We recycle whenever possible and all our own packaging is fully recyclable.
