What does the farming sector say?

Countryfile Magazine - - News -

Dr Diane Mitchell, NFU chief environment adviser, insists that incidents are declining: “The trend has been a decline in incidents from agriculture as a result of good practice and investment in equipment.”

Farmers get a lot of stick, they get seen as anti-environment, anti-nature but most are the opposite to that. The cost of slurry storage is high and sometimes farmers have no money to invest in infrastructure. They get to the point where there is no storage space left and they look to cut corners.
