Countryfile Magazine - - Month In The Country -

On the first Sunday of every November, more than 400 pre-1905 vehicles take to the streets in London, journeying 60 miles to Brighton in the longest-running motoring event in the world. The day commemorates the 1896 Emancipation Run, a celebration of the passing of the Locomotives on Highways Act, which loosened rules on UK speed limits for ‘light locomotives’ from 4mph to 14mph.
