Job as MP is for life... not just for Christmas

-

I GUESS now we will have to put up with political chit-chat for the next seven weeks, to many folks’ dismay.

It will no doubt be interesting to see the Coventry MPs in person trying to curry favour with the electorate.

Well, I feel if they have not bothered to make contact with the people, I am sure they will want to secure their pocket money.

What does the Coventry North West MP really do for our area?

It seems that functions that have been pre-arranged for him have not been attended, and is a let-down for those who are involved.

Is there a new illness going around Parliament called dynamic lethargy that some MPs seem to suffer from?

If MPs want to engage with constituents I would hope they realise it is a job long-term, according to the electorate.

It is rather like the adverts when buying a dog: “A dog is for life, not just for Christmas.” This to could also be applied to MPs working contracts.

If the job becomes too much I would hope their conscience along with honesty would tell them to relinquish their seat. Sandra Camwell Keresley
