Charity shop’s toys taken in cruel theft
THIEVES broke in to a children’s charity shop and stole toys.
The break-in at the Barnardo’s store, which is next to the Sainsbury’s Local in Hillmorton Road, Rugby, was reported just after 9am last Thursday.
Police in the town were left disgusted by the burglary, with Rugby Police tweeting: “All burglaries are bad but a real low is targeting Barnardos and stealing toys.”
A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said the investigation was ongoing and urged any witnesses to come forward as soon as possible.
