JUNE 30, 1970: The Queen vis­its Coventry. Her Majesty took in a tour of Wals­grave Hospi­tal where she of­fi­cially opened the new build­ing. Af­ter the cer­e­mony, the Queen re­ceived a bou­quet from 21-year-old stu­dent nurse He­len Ogilvie, and was pre­sented with a sil­ver pa­perknife in a spe­cial cas­ket as a me­mento of the oc­ca­sion. At the ma­ter­nity hospi­tal, she spoke to Dr A Burzaco, and con­grat­u­lated him on the suc­cess­ful de­liv­ery of con­joined twins. Do you re­mem­ber the visit?
