Care for our residents

Coventry Telegraph - - YOUR VIEWS -

I MAY as well add my voice to the rest of the negative comments on the bid for Coventry to become the UK City of Culture. Letters tell us about the homeless people on our streets, litter everywhere and roads full of potholes.

City of Culture, city of peace and reconciliation, indeed – yet we continue to provide many millions of pounds of our taxes to provide arms to foreign countries. This money would be better invested to provide work for our citizens.

I’m off to the food bank, that’s the only culture I need. The overpaid councillors need to get real and live on the money that we have to. Joe Fordham Walsgrave
