Sort leaks out be­fore wa­ter tar­gets

RE­CENT news­pa­per re­ports tell us that we need to achieve new wa­ter tar­gets on house­hold wa­ter use.

At the same time we are told that leaks from un­der­ground pipes are about a fifth of the wa­ter put into the sys­tem.

Is this the re­sult of pri­vati­sa­tion where money for share­holder pay­ments are more im­por­tant than cur­ing leaks. Fred Fos­ter Rad­ford
