Arduino launches MKRFOX1200

The Arduino team has announced a new entry in the MKR development board family, which comes with global long-range wireless connections. The Arduino MKRFOX1200 is designed around the same breadboard-friendly layout as the MKR1000 (reviewed in Issue 155), and it includes the ARM Cortex-M0+-based microcontroller. It’s the first official Arduino board to include long-range wireless capabilities, which come in the form of a Sigfox radio module. The Arduino MKRFOX1200 is priced at €35 (around £29.40 ex VAT), including a two-year Sigfox subscription for up to 140 12-byte messages per day.
