Dear Doc I have a riding mate who insists on sitting on the front of the group. He will push past people to get there, pull in, and then just get slower and slower. If you try to overtake him he gets quite shirty about it, and as soon as he can he bustles to the front again. Basically he ruins rides. Have you any suggestions?
I speak with some authority when I suggest you club together to get him a skinsuit and a pointy helmet, for this man is by instinct a time triallist. Do as I suggest, and he’ll spend the winter happily riding 50 miles a day at threshold on his own. He’ll never bother you again.
