Teams slam WADA

Cycling Weekly - - News -

WADA has been criticised by the Movement for Credible Cycling (MPCC) in an open letter, for its continued ‘wait and see’ approach to corticosteroids and tramadol.

Tramadol is not prohibited at all under current WADA rules, while corticosteroids are only allowed with a therapeutic exemption certificate. Under MPCC rules, which are voluntarily adhered to by seven Worldtour and six pro women’s teams, tramadol is banned in competition, and riders must be withdrawn from competition for eight days after being treated with corticosteroids.
