The Velits brothers, both pro cyclists on the Worldtour, created Isadore in 2011. ‘After a couple of years on the pro cycling circuit, not that we were getting bored, we felt like it would be healthy to get out of the “bubble” and focus on some other projects too,’ says CEO Martin Velits. ‘To start a cycling clothing brand seemed logical as both Peter and I have many years of experience wearing cycling kit, so we wanted to create apparel that pro cyclists would want to wear if they didn’t have to wear sponsored stuff.’

The Climbers range is the latest addition to Isadore’s collection. ‘All the Climbers jerseys are inspired by a mountain we have some sort of relationship with,’ says Velits. ‘I rode the Angliru a couple of times during the Vuelta and just love it.’

As the name suggests, the kit performs best when you’re working up a sweat on a hot day in the mountains. The jersey is an especially light merino blend and the shorts are treated with Coldblack UV protection, and they’re best paired with the multilayered Medio Membrane gilet, also new at £120. Is-adorable.
