Pirelli P-zero tyres
Pirelli is making a high-profile return to the bicycle tyre market with its new range of P-zero tyres, and thanks to its considerable heritage in motorsport, the company isn’t afraid to make some bold claims.
It says the P-zeros solve the compromise that exists with rolling resistance, puncture protection and longevity. How? Get ready to be scienced: the molecules in its Smartnet Silica compound place themselves into uniform sticks rather than the random spherical blobs of normal silicate compounds. This ‘directional positioning’ allows the tyres to be both supple and tough. Apparently.
