The detail

Cyclist - - Canyon | Bikes -

As one of the first parts of the bike to ‘see’ wind, the handlebars and stem are a key area to clean up to reduce aero drag – some aerodynamicists claim the cockpit is responsible for up to 15% of a bike’s total drag. They’re now becoming more commonplace, but Canyon was one of the first to introduce a one-piece bar/stem combo on its road bikes and claims its wing-shaped H11 Aerocockpit reduces drag by 5.5 watts compared to its standard handlebar and stem. Aero-shaped spacers enable some height adjustment but also help the stem to blend with the aero head tube and top tube, completing a front-end set-up whose slick performance matches its looks.
