Youngest star of Poldark is baby George

HE may be only a few months old but a baby from Hirwaun has already had a taste of the high-life as a TV star.

Little George ReynoldsLewis was only six weeks old when he made his television debut in Poldark, as the son of main character Elizabeth, played by Heida Reed, who is married to Poldark’s enemy George Warleggan.

In the first episode of the third series of the top telly show, there were plenty of shocks when baby Valentine arrived suddenly – but there was confusion over who the dad actually was.

But there was one thing that was in no doubt – baby George’s newfound stardom.

Mum and dad Kelly and Richard were thrilled with their son’s TV debut – and loved visiting the set in Bristol too.

Richard said: “He was signed up to a talent agency by my wife and we went down to The Bottle Yard studios in Bristol and it was good – really great.

“George had his own trailer and everything.”

Mum Kelly is a fan and was annoyed that star Aidan Turner wasn’t on set that day, however dad Richard had to do some research saying he “didn’t even know what the show was” before little George made the cast.

But he said: “The director had done Doctor Who and I like that.”

After all the fun on set, Richard says he had a great time.

And it’s not the last time little George will be on telly as he is set to appear in a few more episodes of the hit BBC TV show.

You can watch the next episode of Poldark on BBC One at 9pm on Sunday.
