Dealer jailed after police found heroin and cash
A DRUG dealer has been put behind bars after officers found heroin and cash at his home.
Stuart Mark Davies, 36, was sentenced to 38 months in prison at Merthyr Crown Court on February 7.
Davies, pictured, was charged on October 30 last year after a drugs warrant was carried out at his address on Wind Street, Aberdare.
Officers recovered 12 wraps of heroin as well as other evidence of drugs supply including cash, a tick list and eight mobile phones.
He has now been convicted for possession with intent to supply heroin.
Davies initially pleaded not guilty to the offence but changed his plea on February 7.
Cynon Local Policing Inspector Rob Blunt said: “This is just one example of proactive policing in the Cynon Valley.
“Community intelligence is vital in our fight against drugs and I would urge anyone with any information on drug dealing to please tell us or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 what they know.
“This sentence should show that we are willing to take action and also act as a deterrent to those who want to sell class A drugs in our communities.”
