If you’ve a good cause to support, then Cytgord Welsh Ladies Choir could be a no-cost way to help you raise funds. The choir is based in Aberdare and exists to help people to learn Welsh through song. New members are always welcome.
Practices are conducted in Welsh and English to assist learners.
The choir meets to rehearse each week during school term time at Siloa Chapel, in Aberdare, next to the library, on Thursdays, from 7.15pm-9pm.

We are a small charity that works with children with additional needs and their families.
We work with children between the ages of three and 11 years.
They participate in play schemes, organised activities and day trips with the support of volunteers.

New Horizons mental health charity has a centre in Aberdare which is open at the following times:
Mondays, 4pm-8pm – Youth Project;
Tuesdays, 11am-1pm – activities, groups and training;
Wednesdays, 9am-4pm – activities, groups and training.
Closed bank holidays.
The Community Youth Club continues to take place every Wednesday from 5pm at the Church Hall. £1 per session and is open to children 10 and over.
When shopping at Asda Cwmbach there are green tokens available to support local good causes. This session Penrhiwceiber Primary are one of the groups trying to get as many tokens as possible for improvements to the school yard. So when shopping pop your tokens in their box.

Tickets priced £1 each, you must be 16+ to enter. We are looking for people to help us in reception, shop work and driving our clients back and forth from their cancer-related hospital appointments. Drivers are urgently needed in the Rhondda area. If you are able to help please contact the centre on 01443 479369 for further information.
We are also looking for volunteers in the role of befrienders visiting clients at their home one hour per week.
This may be a lifeline for many clients as you may be the only person they see all week.
