Free fes­ti­val to re­turn for spring bank hol­i­day with plenty of en­ter­tain­ment

THE Aber­dare Fes­ti­val will be back over the spring bank hol­i­day week­end.

The free fes­ti­val will be held in the grounds of Aber­dare Park on Satur­day, May 26.

Live mu­sic will be per­formed through­out the day, and a fam­ily fun fair, lo­cal craft stalls and food ven­dors will be among the en­ter­tainent on of­fer.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Coun­cil deputy leader Coun­cil­lor Mau­reen Web­ber said: “Over the years, Aber­dare Fes­ti­val has firmly es­tab­lished it­self as a pop­u­lar fam­ily event, one of many staged across our county bor­ough through­out the year. Events such as these con­tinue to at­tract thou­sands of vis­i­tors and help boost the lo­cal econ­omy by bring­ing a large in­flux of peo­ple into our town cen­tres and sur­round­ing ar­eas.

“I am sure Aber­dare Fes­ti­val 2018 will be as pop­u­lar as ever and we look for­ward to wel­com­ing ev­ery­one to Aber­dare Park.”

Live mu­sic will be pro­vided by lo­cal per­form­ers through­out the day on an out­door stage, start­ing from mid­day.

Gates open from 11am un­til 5pm.
