Free festival to return for spring bank holiday with plenty of entertainment
THE Aberdare Festival will be back over the spring bank holiday weekend.
The free festival will be held in the grounds of Aberdare Park on Saturday, May 26.
Live music will be performed throughout the day, and a family fun fair, local craft stalls and food vendors will be among the entertainent on offer.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council deputy leader Councillor Maureen Webber said: “Over the years, Aberdare Festival has firmly established itself as a popular family event, one of many staged across our county borough throughout the year. Events such as these continue to attract thousands of visitors and help boost the local economy by bringing a large influx of people into our town centres and surrounding areas.
“I am sure Aberdare Festival 2018 will be as popular as ever and we look forward to welcoming everyone to Aberdare Park.”
Live music will be provided by local performers throughout the day on an outdoor stage, starting from midday.
Gates open from 11am until 5pm.
