City stick with Pell and Yaya

- RICHARD TANNER TONY BANKS at Wembley

MANUEL Pellegrini will stay on as Manchester City manager while Yaya Toure has been told he is not for sale.

Pellegrini, below, arrived in Canada last night for City’s post- season tour after informal talks with chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak.

Although it is understood the talks were not a formal appraisal of the season, there are no indications the club’s billionaire owner, Sheikh Mansour, is planning a change of manager this summer, despite the team’s failure to defend their league title and their poor showing in the two domestic cups.

City are likely to allow Pellegrini to see out his contract before they attempt to appoint Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola next summer.

Khaldoon is also understood to have had talks with unsettled midfi elder Toure. The Ivorian’s agent said City have told Toure – who has two years left on his contract – he is “too important to let go”. DIDIER Drogba says Chelsea should keep Petr Cech and not say goodbye to another club legend.

The striker, 37, bid farewell for the second time as the Blues celebrated the title by beating Sunderland. Keeper Cech, left, is also set to go after Thibaut Courtois took his spot. But Drogba said: “The club should keep him because we know who Petr Cech is at this club. It’s his decision, it’s up to him. But we want him to stay”
