Clarkson profi t is buoyant
CLARKSON said it is shipshape to face continuing “severe challenges” from a global slowdown and plunging commodity prices after a buoyant financial performance.
The shipping services firm posted a 49 per cent rise in underlying annual pre- tax profi t to £ 50.5million as it benefi ted from a “f light to quality”. Chief executive Andi Case explained: “The macro- economic environment remains very uncertain but growth remains a central plank of our strategy.
“In more diffi cult markets, there is often a move to work with the teams who have the expertise, market understanding and placing power.”
