Corrupt Mexican officers are a law unto themselves

HAVING recently read your story about Alix Bussey, who died after being run down by a hit-and-run driver while on holiday in Mexico, I’m not at all surprised that the police were less than helpful (“Riddle of Briton left to die in road”, July 22).

My son was on an all-inclusive holiday in Cancún last month with a group of about 40 people.

After an evening out several of the party, including my son, were thrown up against a wall and robbed... by the Mexican police. Barry McDonald, Reading, Berks
