HART SET ON ITALY

England goalkeeper closes in on loan move to Torino as he seeks escape from City hell

- Paul Joyce Richard Tanner

JOE HART will fly to Italy today to seal a season-long loan move to Serie A side Torino.

The goalkeeper will be given permission to leave the England squad after Manchester City agreed a deal with the Turin club last night.

City have had to subsidise a huge chunk of Hart’s £90,000-a-week wages after manager Pep Guardiola made it clear the 29-year-old was not part of his plans.

Hart favours a move abroad rather than staying in the Premier League with Sunderland and, according to sources in Italy, he will finalise the deal today in Turin before returning home. England manager Sam Allardyce has given Hart permission to leave the St George’s Park training base and resolve his future before the transfer deadline on Wednesday. The FA will make a decision on whether to charge Hart’s teammate Sergio Aguero, left, with violent conduct today, which could rule him out of the Manchester derby on September 10. Another worry for City is that Aguero has a calf injury that yesterday forced him to pulled out of international duty with Argentina.
