Children’s welfare should be our foremost concern

APART from the expense this couple cost us in welfare bills, what about the welfare of the poor children involved (“How alcoholic couple cost us £1m in just three years”, December 5)?

I sincerely hope that they were taken into care where they could receive proper attention and schooling until their parents, please God, saw sense, sought help for their addiction and returned home to them.
