HAS BROTHER RUINED ROYAL MARRIAGE HOPES?

IT’S time for the great and the good to stop planning their wedding outfits (“Palace alarm at gun charge for brother of Harry’s girl”, January 16).

Any hopes we had of an imminent royal wedding have been scuppered by Meghan’s brother.

I remember Prince Andrew going out with actress Koo Stark until photos emerged of her semi-naked in a film.

Any whiff of controversy tends to make the royal family, or rather those advising them, run a mile.

So don’t expect a wedding announcement any time soon. Anthony Robinson,

WELL said Vanessa (“Don’t get triggered, Meghan is not her brother’s keeper”, January 17).

Every family has skeletons in the cupboard and the embarrassing actions of a half brother should not be allowed to affect the course of young love.

As Vanessa says, history would have been much different if the actions of a relative prevented people serving the public or enjoying life in the public eye.

Prince Harry is looking happier than he has for years, so let this delightful couple get on with their lives. Emily Thompson, Sheffield
