Remoaners are all just burying their heads in the sand
I SEE the usual whingeing Remoaners were out again last weekend attempting to highlight their tiresome and boring lost cause about being fearful of the new order that is now coming once Theresa May triggers Article 50 tomorrow and we’re on our way to finally leaving the European Union (Inside Politics, March 25).
Would any of these individuals have ever been on the dockside wishing to sail on HMS Endeavour, the Golden Hind, Sir Walter Raleigh’s Ark Royal or the Mayflower, setting off to discover the New World and build an empire?
No. I’m afraid they would be staying timidly at home, content to be under the control of their local land baron, doing exactly as they were told and looking no further than the village for their futures.
Still I suppose it was a nice sunny weekend and a little protest in central London, however boring, was a nice break from gardening, knitting and yogurt making. Jan Pederson,
