Killer cyclist has a callous indifference to the law
IT seems to me that the 18-month sentence given to 20-year-old Charlie Alliston, found guilty of wanton and furious driving and causing the death of a mother of two, was totally inadequate (“Bike death laws to be toughened”, September 21).
He will probably only serve a few months.
That he still insists he is not to blame, even though he rode at a reckless speed on a bicycle without front brakes, suggests he has a serious issues with reality.
Failure to recognise these mean that he could well offend again with the same callous indifference to the lives of others and the laws of the land. Edna Jones, St Neots, Cambs
