Far East cars ‘best for service’
FAR Eastern car brands, from Honda to Hyundai, top a table for best servicing at their British dealerships, including quality of work, value for money and politeness.
However, German and French makes languish towards the bottom of the table with US-owned Jeep franchises rock bottom, according to a survey of 8,300 motorists by What Car? magazine.
It asked drivers to rate their last major service.
Honda came top with an overall satisfaction rating of 91 per cent.
Fellow Japanese brands Lexus, Subaru and Toyota were also in the top 10.
Korea’s Hyundai, Kia and Ssangyong joined them in the top 10, along with Chinese-owned MG. The last two places went to Jaguar and Dacia – the budget brand owned by France’s Renault.
Jeep was worst for quality of work and staff attitude while Porsche offered the worst value for money.
