Far East cars ‘best for ser­vice’

FAR Eastern car brands, from Honda to Hyundai, top a table for best ser­vic­ing at their Bri­tish deal­er­ships, in­clud­ing qual­ity of work, value for money and po­lite­ness.

However, Ger­man and French makes lan­guish to­wards the bot­tom of the table with US-owned Jeep fran­chises rock bot­tom, ac­cord­ing to a sur­vey of 8,300 mo­torists by What Car? mag­a­zine.

It asked driv­ers to rate their last ma­jor ser­vice.

Honda came top with an overall sat­is­fac­tion rat­ing of 91 per cent.

Fel­low Ja­panese brands Lexus, Subaru and Toy­ota were also in the top 10.

Korea’s Hyundai, Kia and Ssangyong joined them in the top 10, along with Chi­nese-owned MG. The last two places went to Jaguar and Da­cia – the bud­get brand owned by France’s Re­nault.

Jeep was worst for qual­ity of work and staff at­ti­tude while Porsche of­fered the worst value for money.
