Vic­tims must speak out at the time to de­ter cul­prits

HERE we go again, a woman say­ing she was “groped”, this time Daisy Good­win re­veal­ing what hap­pened on an of­fi­cial trip to Down­ing Street (“TV writer re­veals: ‘I was groped in 10 Down­ing Street’”, Novem­ber 14).

It’s not that I dis­be­lieve this lady, it is why on earth didn’t she bring it into the open by telling peo­ple at the time it al­legedly took place?

It’s no good keep­ing it to your­self for years, re­port it at the time that it hap­pens. Jim Wooster, High Wy­combe, Bucks
