Wolves out to land Leander

- DAVE ARMITAGE

WOLVES are ready to splash the cash again and sign Belgium utility player Leander Dendoncker.

The Premier League new boys are poised with a £12million bid to land the Anderlecht star, right. Dendoncker, who featured against England at the World Cup, can play defensive midfield or centre-back.

Wolves’ move for the 23-year-old came just hours after they smashed the club’s transfer record with the £18m signing of Adama Traore from Middlesbrough. Traore urged Wolves fans to “believe” after finally completing his switch to Molineux. “Believe in this team and we will work 100 per cent. Everything is possible,” he said. “I’m so happy. It’s a great day for me and my family. I hope to add to the team and show the fans what I can do. “I can’t wait to start work with the team and speak with the gaffer about tactics. This is what I’m thinking now – to win for the fans. How Wolves play suits me.” WATFORD face a deadline-day decision over Roberto Pereyra after Torino reignited their interest in the Argentine forward. Torino’s former Hornets manager Walter Mazzarri is keen for a reunion with Pereyra, 27, left, having brought him to Vicarage Road in 2016. Watford, who have loaned goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann to Kilmarnock, have had a loan offer for West Brom defender Craig Dawson rejected. ●BRIGHTON striker Tomer Hemed is wanted by QPR after being told he can leave the club following the signing of Romanian frontman Florine Andone.
