Strictly pair set for ‘sexed down’ dance

Daily Express - - SPECIAL REPORT ON DEVASTATION OF SEAS - By Mark Reynolds

STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Seann Walsh and Katya Jones will tonight perform a “sexed down” version of the Charleston in the wake of their kissing scandal.

After publicly apologising for being caught in a passionate embrace when both had partners, the pair will perform a less racy routine than had originally been planned.

A BBC insider said: “The view was taken that for Katya and Seann to have anything provocative in their routine would be unwise at best. “So it will be decidedly ‘sexed down’.” Despite the BBC playing down the scandal, Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood said it will still be a factor.

Straight-talking Horwood told ITV’s Jonathan Ross: “My take was keep them in the show, make them do the ‘Dance of Shame’, if you like.

“It’s really important that, if this does happen to you, you face up to it.”

Comedian Walsh, 32, and his professional partner, 29, were caught kissing on his girlfriend Rebecca Humphries’s birthday.

After the pictures surfaced Ms Humphries ended their relationship but Ms Jones’s husband Neil is standing by her.

Come Dancing, BBC One, 6.40 tonight. Jonathan Ross, ITV, 9.50
