Daily Express - - RICHARD & JUDY - By Liz Perkins

DAWN French is pictured as you have never seen her before getting into character to make her panto debut.

The 61-year-old actress and comedian transformed into a Wicked Queen as she prepared for her spellbinding performance in Snow White, alongside a star-studded cast.

Director Michael Harrison said he was delighted to sign Dawn.

“I’ve been trying to coax Dawn for a long time. She’ll be funny, with a twinkle in her eye,” he said. Panto fans will see Julian Clary make a return to the show, playing the Man In The Mirror, with ex-Strictly Come Dancing pros Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace also in the cast.

Comedian Paul Zerdin will play Muddles, Nigel Havers is The Understudy and Gary Wilmot is Mrs Crumble.

The show runs at the London Palladium for five weeks from December 8.
