RONNIE O’SULLIVAN has urged the sport’s bosses to go easy on Mark Allen for his World Grand Prix walkout.

Allen conceded to Ali Carter in Cheltenham last week after missing an easy yellow despite there being 115 points still on the table.

O’Sullivan, who starts his bid for a fifth Welsh Open title in Cardiff today against Sanderson Lam, said: “I hope they don’t come down on him too hard because it was just a rush of blood.”
