ODSAL IS SO MUCH TO US Bulls’ farewell emotional for boss Kear

-

1954 Challenge Cup final replay between Halifax and Warrington and, in the summer era, crowds flocked there to watch the Bulls.

But their fall to the third tier of the professional game – before last year’s promotion – has coincided with a need to find a new base.

The club hope to return to a purpose-built venue in the city but for now are looking to leave Odsal on a winning note.

Former Castleford player Kear, who coached Sheffield Eagles to a Challenge Cup final victory over Wigan in 1998, said: “It’s got to be emotional – it’s been the home of Bradford Bulls and Bradford Northern for many, many years.

“I know the club its dalliances away, has but had this has been long time.

“The local lads like Elliot Minchella, Steve Crossley, Brandon Pickersgill and Ethan Ryan will really want to play well.

“We’ve got to acknowledge how much it means to fans.

“This could be the last game there – we don’t know if we are returning.” home for
