HOW THEY MADE THOSE FAB FROCKS
The outfits are so impressive they might even steal the show from the actors wearing them. Much of The Collection’s budget has been spent on making clothes that would have brought gasps of amazement from fashion show audiences in 1947. Parisian design duo Chattoune & Fab and their team have created 1,200 outfits including 30 haute couture dresses which each took ten days to make and used 50 metres of fabric. ‘We made all sorts,’ explains Chattoune, ‘including leather biker gear for Tom Riley’s character Claude. It was a big job because these are unique designs.’
