A NOT SO FAIR COP
Every storyline needs a psycho from time to time, and in Caz this show has one who’s revealing her sinister ‘qualities’ bit by bit. Having lost her lesbian lover Kate after pretending to be injured, will she be revealed to be responsible for the break-in in which Maria (below, with the burglar) and Liam are terrified in their own home? Is it just a ruse to get Maria to take her in? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – if a half-decent locksmith could be called in (quite frankly, a Chihuahua could break these doors down with one paw), burglaries in the Street would plummet.
The lovely Craig, whose tenderness towards the insecure Bethany is heartwarming, turns 18 this week, but his birthday celebrations are ruined when he receives disappointing news from the police. How will it affect his prospects for the future and his relationship with his mother? Bethany, meanwhile, is hitting the diet pills. She doesn’t need to; Gail hasn’t put anything more than a couple of slices of toast on the table in a year and the Bistro’s only served about six customers this month. Most people in Weatherfield need fattening up (where the overweight characters are getting their calories remains a mystery).
Steve and Leanne aren’t happy with Liz, who keeps poking her nose in over their baby’s future. And how will Nick react when Leanne comes clean about Steve being the father? Expect frowns on Nick’s forehead as deep as the ridges on a George Foreman grill.
