Christine Lampard’s role welcoming stars to a spooky village on Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live on W this week brought back memories. ‘I was once moved out of a hotel room in the night because the manager said they never let women stay in it, as it’s haunted by a woman who jumped to her death. It was terrifying!’
Sky has called time on football sitcom Rovers after one series – leaving Sue Johnston devastated. Says Sue, who played the club house manager, ‘It’s one of the funniest shows I’ve ever been involved with. I was really upset when I heard it hadn’t been recommissioned.’
Max Irons, currently starring as archaeologist Howard Carter in ITV’s Tutankhamun, reveals he’s dug up precious items of his own. ‘I used to go searching for fossils when I was a kid on holiday in Lyme Regis,’ says Max. ‘I was very proud of one particular ammonite I got. I still have it somewhere.’
Michael Ball and Alfie Boe are filming a one-off music special for ITV. The duo, on tour together next month, will perform classic songs from musicals such as Les Misérables in front of a celebrity crowd. A source says, ‘Michael and Alfie are both great singers and seasoned entertainers so it promises to be really fun.’
