The grittiest of the DC superhero shows returns for its new, fifth season, and Oliver (left) is now mayor of Star City; he’s mourning Laurel, but still working as vigilante Arrow on the side. There’s a muddled feel to this opener, but things should become clearer later on, when Arrow’s new team settles in.
