It begins with a man releasing animals from their cages, under cover of darkness; confronted by a killer in the shadows, he is found dead the following morning, surrounded by champion rabbits. Has there ever been a more perfect Midsomer murder scene? Susan Hampshire (pictured centre) is among the suspects.
