The sharpest episode of the new series so far revolves around an election, features the return of an old ‘friend’, and presents the Cat and Rimmer (particularly Rimmer, left) in an uncharacteristically intelligent light. It all starts with a yellow alert, a sound that Rimmer relishes: ‘It means someone’s in danger, and it’s not you.’
