PHILIP EADE’S biography of Evelyn Waugh, A LIFE REVISITED (RADIO 4, 9.45AM (FM), 12.30AM), begins with his school days, when Evelyn spent much time bullying poor little Cecil Beaton, and where some masters ‘liked boys too little, and some too much’. The book gives new insights into the public and private lives of one of the 20th century’s greatest writers.

NATASHA KHAN, aka Bat For Lashes, has a spooky new album out called The Bride. It tells the story of a bride whose husband-to-be is killed on the way to the altar. The album is full of eerie music, with Natasha’s voice sounding ghostly and plaintive. She joins LAUREN LAVERNE (BBC 6 MUSIC, 10AM) to talk about the album, and about how she premiered the music in churches, with the audience dressed for a wedding.

THERE are lots of fiendish twists and turns in SERVED WITH A TWIST (RADIO 4, 10.45AM, 7.45PM), a week-long series of clever stories written by Roald Dahl, with Charles Dance (pictured) as the narrator.

NATALIE gets through each day as best she can, but she is preoccupied by the fate of her husband, missing in action in Helmand Province. Then, she sees him in a supermarket — or thinks she does. Sam Troughton, Liz White and Anna Madeley star in MISSING IN ACTION (RADIO 4, 2.15PM), a drama that is full of psychological twists.
