Courtois: I feared my season was over

THIBAUT COURTOIS feared his season was over when he twisted his ankle playing basketball and has hailed Chelsea’s medics for getting him fit for the semi-final. Courtois only missed one game and said: ‘I got a pass and jumped to catch the ball. When I came down, I went through my ankle. It was very swollen. I was afraid the season was over. I have to say thank you to our medical staff. I don’t think many people with a torn ligament would be ready to play after a week.’
