Dangerous prisoner is on the run

A VIOLENT prisoner, believed to be armed with a razor blade, is on the run after escaping from hospital.

Michal Kisier, 30, may have had help giving guards the slip as he was treated for a head wound at Salisbury District Hospital at 7pm on Tuesday.

The fugitive, originally from Poland, was serving a five-year term for holding a mother and her teenage daughter prisoner and subjecting them to a ‘terrifying ordeal’.

Kisier, who was living in Luton, kept the pair taped up for eight hours and threatened to kill them in a disagreement over money.

Wiltshire Police say he is dangerous and should not be approached. They carried out extensive searches with drones, dogs and a helicopter.

Detectives are investigating whether Kisier, who was serving his sentence at HMP Erlestoke near Devizes, had planned the escape with outside help.

Last night Wiltshire Police said it had received reports of sightings across the county. However officers believe Kisier might now have fled the UK.
