Party traitors are all the same
BEHIND the scenes, two very different groups have been trying to sabotage their own side’s chances in the election.
In the blue corner, there are the Tory modernisers — remnants of David Cameron’s ruling clique.
And, in the red corner, we have the Labour Blairites who’ll do anything to make sure Jeremy Corbyn loses and is forced to stand down, with the aim that the party can be wrenched back from the far-Left into the middle ground.
I can’t make up my mind whose behaviour is most contemptible.
Despite representing opposing parties, these Labour and Tory modernisers are two sides of the same coin. They seized control of their respective parties for their own personal advantage. Now they are out of power, they are set on revenge.
