Josef El-Raghy, 46 Chairman, Centamin

THE chairman of Centamin has netted £18.1m by cashing in on a recovery in the global mining firm’s share price.

Josef El-Raghy sold around 10.4m shares in the Jersey-based company at an aver- age of 175.1p. Alongside his family, ElRaghy still owns 10.5m shares, equivalent to a 0.9pc stake.

In March, the 46year-old sold £8.7m worth of shares and £5.6m in June last year. The firm’s shares fell 28pc last month but have since recovered. They rose 0.9pc, or 1.6p, to 172.8p.
