MOSCOW radio now begins and ends all broadcasts in foreign languages with the slogan: ‘Death to the German invaders.’ Until two days ago, the customary phrase was: ‘Workers of all lands, unite.’

A WOMAN stepped in front of the Queen and tried to clutch her arm at Ascot yesterday. The woman was Josephine Forrestal, widow of the former U.S. Defence Secretary. She said: ‘I wanted to say hullo to the Queen — that was all. I knew her when she was Princess Elizabeth. I was sure she would remember me.’
