IT’S the kiss millions of Poldark fans have been waiting for.
The romance between Harry Richardson and Ellise Chappell’s characters reached boiling point last night when viewers were given a teasing glimpse of the passion to come.
The plotline involving newcomers Drake Carne and governess Morwenna Chynoweth has been dubbed the ‘Romeo and Juliet love story’ of the BBC drama due to the ongoing feud between their families.
They got together in secret on a Cornish beach in last night’s episode, ignoring warnings to stay away from the area where they met.
Then, having declared their fondness for one another, they pledged to carry on their affair. Later on they shared an illicit kiss in a garden – but fans will have to wait until next weekend to see the full details of the encounter as it only appeared in the trailer at the end of the episode.
Australian-born heart-throb Richardson has been catapulted into the spotlight over the last few weeks thanks to several topless scenes.
Poldark’s Irish pin-up star Aidan Turner also gave his fans another shirtless treat last night – when Ross and his wife Demelza, played by Eleanor Tomlinson, appeared in a steamy bedroom scene.
